Pra MeetUp Pengguna #SteemPress dan Rencana Deklarasi Komunitas

Hampir sebulan setelah memposting tulisan Wahai Blogger Indonesia! Sambutlah WordPress Steemit Community, banyak steemian menanyakan kelanjutan ide membuat sebuah komunitas khusus untuk para pengguna #steempress. Mereka semua berharap agar komunitas tersebut segera diresmikan, minimal menjadi wadah berkumpul dan berdiskusi antar-sesama pengguna steempress.

Dan, pada Selasa (3/7/2018) sebuah pra MeetUp para pengguna Steempress terlaksana di sebuah warung kopi Cut Nun, Pango, Ulee Kareng. Acara kumpul-kumpul perdana itu berlangsung santai dan penuh keakraban. Hadir para steemian yang kini menjadi senior saya di steemit seperti @abuarkan, @wenaxan, @munaa dan @bookrak. Lalu, ikut meramaikan acara para steemian yang sedang ‘di jalan yang benar’ semisal @pieasant dan @farizalm.

Sementara beberapa steemian yang sedang semangat-semangatnya menggunakan plugin Steempress seperti @tinmiswary, @zamzaliali, dan @jeulamei memohon izin tidak dapat meramaikan acara pra MeetUp. @tinmiswary dan @jeulamei berada di kota yang berbeda, sementara @zamzamiali sedang memburu para pembunuh Bunta di Aceh Timur. Namun, semua mereka kompak mengirimkan doa agar niat membangun sebuah komunitas yang sehat benar-benar terwujud.

Banyak hal kami bicarakan dalam pertemuan yang sesekali terinterupsi oleh teriakan gol dari depan, dan beberapa peserta rapat bergegas ke depan melihat bagaimana proses sebuah gol tercipta. Pun begitu, setelah teriakan itu mereda, kami kembali fokus pada topik yang dibicarakan semula. Lalu, kami berdiskusi seperti biasa seolah-olah teriakan gol itu tidak ada.

Hal pertama yang kami bicarakan dengan serius adalah soal nama komunitas. Dari beberapa usulan yang muncul, akhirnya kami berketetapan hati memilih WordPress Steemit Community (WSC). Awalnya, @abuarkan sempat mengusulkan agar kata “community” diganti dengan committe. Namun, ide ini segera ditanggapi oleh steemian pecinta sepakbola sekaligus penggemar sejati Manchester United (MU), @munaa. Menurutnya, kata committe tidak cocok dipasangkan sebagai nama komunitas. “Saya lebih setuju dengan WordPress Steemit Community, ” katanya. Selain karena nama itu tampak keren, katanya, juga kata Steempress sudah terwakili dalam kata pada WordPress dan Steemit.

Sebagai informasi, awalnya beberapa nama untuk komunitas yang sempat mencuat adalah Indonesia SteemBlogger Community atau IndoBlogger Steem Community (ISC) dan Blogger Steemit Community (BSC). Nama-nama ini ditolak karena sejumlah alasan. Di antaranya, para pengguna Steempress yang berkumpul itu tidak mau konflik yang selama ini meruncing berkaitan dengan komunitas yang ada hadir kembali di komunitas baru ini, serta mereka tidak mau sinonim nama komunitas sama dengan komunitas yang sudah ada.

Terlepas bagaimana debat soal nama itu didiskusikan, tapi ada satu hal yang patut dicatat bahwa mereka berharap komunitas pengguna steempress ini dapat menjadi medium diskusi yang sehat, menjadi forum untuk saling sharing pengalaman, serta saling membantu tanpa memandang level atau besar-kecilnya Steem Power seseorang. “Kita berhimpun agar dapat tumbuh dan berkembang bersama-sama, tanpa saling menjatuhkan,” kata @abuarkan.

Dan seperti pernah saya singgung dalam posting sebelumnya, bahwa komunitas baru ini haruslah menjadi medium perekat, saling mendukung antar-steemian, serta menjadi rumah bersama. Sebab, media seperti steemit seharusnya tidak menjadi ajang saling mencaci-memaki dan mencari salah-benar seseorang. Di steemit kita semua berusaha memproduksi konten positif dan berkualitas sambil mempromosikan hal-hal baik yang selama ini jarang terekspose di media maintream.

Karenanya, dalam hal menjaring para anggota, mereka ingin benar-benar selektif. Steemian yang berpotensi mengganggu ‘suasana’ sedini mungkin dihindari melalui verifikasi. Mereka tidak mau komunitas yang akan terbentuk tersebut nantinya jadi ajang permusuhan baru. “Siapa pun yang kita ajak bergabung minimal sosoknya dikenal dengan baik oleh para anggota lain,” saran @abuarkan.

“Tidak masalah jika nanti anggota komunitas jadi sedikit. Yang penting komunitas tumbuh dengan sehat,” sambung @munaa yang semringah karena postingan terakhirnya mulai diupvote oleh steempress. Saya setuju dengan keinginan kawan-kawan semua yang ingin membangun sebuah komunitas yang sehat, bergerak bersama-sama, serta ingin tumbuh berkembang bersama.

Pertemuan yang sebenarnya sudah lama digagas harus bubar sesaat seusai laga Swedia vs Swiss. Namun, sebelum pulang, kami sempat menyepakati satu hal lain: kami akan kembali bersua dalam waktu dekat. Dan, soal MeetUp WordPress Steemit Community pertama kami rencanakan bisa terlaksana awal bulan depan. “Ka bereh, awai buluen ukue tapeugot MeetUp WSC laju,” kata @bookrak yang diaminkan oleh @pieasant.

Melalui postingan ini, kami mengundang para steemian pengguna SteemPress untuk bergabung dalam group WhatsApp WordPress Steemit Community (WSC). Mari bersama-sama menciptakan suasana kondusif di Steemit agar kita dapat berkembang dengan baik. Ingat, bersama-sama kita akan kuat, sukses dan dapat berkembang. Saatnya bergerak memproduksi konten positif dan berkualitas. Kehadiran #steempress semakin menegaskan kebenaran sebuah tesis bahwa content is king! Dan, kita semua ada kreatornya!

Pre MeetUp User #SteemPress and Community Declaration Plan

Almost a month after posting the post Wahai Blogger Indonesia! Welcome to WordPress Steemit Community, many steemians ask for the continuation of the idea of ​​creating a community dedicated to #steempress users. They all hope that the community will soon be inaugurated, at least to be a gathering place and discussion among fellow steempress users.

And, on Tuesday (3/7/2018) a pre MeetUp Steempress users performed at a coffee shop Cut Nun, Pango, Ulee Kareng. The event was a relaxed get-together and full of intimacy. Present the steemians who are now my seniors in steemit like @abuarkan, @wenaxan, @munaa and @bookrak. Then, come to enliven the show of the steemians who are ‘on the right path’ such as @ pieasant and @ farizalm.

While some of the steemians who are in their spirits using the Steempress plugins like @tinmiswary, @zamzaliali, and @jeulamei request permission can not enliven the MeetUp pre show. @tinmiswary and @jeulamei are in different cities, while @zamzamiali is hunting down the Bunta killers in East Aceh. However, all of them are compact sending out prayers so that the intention of building a healthy community is truly manifest.

Many things we talked about in occasional meetings were interrupted by screams from the front, and several meeting attendees rushed forward to see how a goal process was created. Even so, after the cry subsided, we refocused on the topic we talked about. Then, we discussed as usual as if the screaming goal was not there.

The first thing we discuss seriously is the name of the community. From several suggestions that appear, finally we determined to choose WordPress Steemit Community (WSC). Initially, @abuarkan had suggested that the word “community” be replaced with committe. However, this idea was immediately addressed by a football lovers’ stalwart as well as a true fan of Manchester United (MU), @munaa. According to him, the word committe does not fit paired as a community name. “I agree more with WordPress Steemit Community,” he said. In addition to the name it looks cool, he said, also the word Steempress already represented in the word on WordPress and Steemit.

For information, initially some names for the community that was sticking out is Indonesia SteemBlogger Community or IndoBlogger Steem Community (ISC) and Blogger Steemit Community (BSC). These names are rejected for a number of reasons. Among these, the gathered Steempress users did not want the tapered conflicts associated with existing communities to re-emerge in this new community, and they did not want the community name synonym to be the same as the existing community.

Regardless of how the name debate is discussed, there is one thing worth noting that they hope this steempress community community can be a healthy medium of discussion, a forum for sharing experiences, and helping each other regardless of the level or greatness of one’s Steem Power. “We gather to grow and grow together, without dropping each other,” said @abuarkan.

And as I mentioned in a previous post, this new community must be a glue medium, mutual support between steemians, and a home together. Because, media like steemit should not be a place to mutually berate and look for someone. In steemit we are all trying to produce positive and quality content while promoting good things that have been rarely exposed in the media of maintream.

Therefore, in terms of capturing members, they want to be really selective. Steemians that potentially disrupt the ‘atmosphere’ as early as possible are avoided through verification. They do not want the community to be formed will be a new hostile event. “Whoever we invite to join is at least well known by other members,” suggests @abuarkan.

“It does not matter if the members of the community get a little bit, the important thing is the community grows healthily,” continued @munaa who was as glad as his last post was started by steempress. I agree with the wishes of my friends who want to build a healthy community, move together, and want to grow together.

The actual meeting has long been initiated to break up shortly after the match Sweden vs Switzerland. But before we get home, we’ve agreed on something else: we’ll be together again in the near future.
